What moves the number
- Size. A1 (594 × 841mm) is the usual welcome sign; a seating chart for a hundred guests wants 600 × 900 or larger.
- Board. 5mm is light and stands on any easel. 10mm is stiffer, for the larger sizes and for a sign that will be moved around all night.
- How many. A welcome sign and a seating chart ordered together are one job, not two.
- Artwork. Send the finished file, or send the wording and we design it — that design is quoted before we start.

Foam board is an indoor board. Out of the sun and the rain it stays flat and bright for years; left in full summer sun on a lawn all afternoon it can bow. For an outdoor ceremony with no cover, say so when you ask and we will quote a board made for outside.

How much does a wedding welcome sign cost?
It is quoted per job rather than from a price list, because the size, the board and whether a seating chart comes with it are what move it. Send the wording, the size and the date it has to arrive by, and you get a written price, GST included, within 4 business hours.
What size should a wedding welcome sign be?
A1, 594 × 841mm, for most venues: it reads from the doorway and sits on a standard easel. Go to 600 × 900 for a large foyer or a sign with a lot of wording. A seating chart needs more room than a welcome sign — allow 600 × 900 for about 80 guests and 900 × 1200 beyond that. The wedding signs guide has the letter sizes, wording and a seating chart layout.
How far ahead should we order?
Two weeks before the day is comfortable. Foam board goes out two working days after payment — which follows your approving the proof — then courier transit to you, so it can be done in a week — but two weeks leaves room for a change to the seating plan, which there almost always is.
Can we put it outside?
Under cover, yes. In open sun and weather for the whole day, not on foam board: it is an indoor board, and a dark design in full sun can bow. Tell us it is outdoors when you ask and we will quote a board made for outside instead.
Do you supply the easel?
No, the sign only. A1 and 600 × 900 boards sit on a standard tripod or A-frame easel; most venues and wedding stylists have one, and hire companies and craft stores sell them.
Can you design it for us?
Yes. Send the wording and a picture of the style you like — your invitation is the best reference — and our designers set it and send it back as a proof. The design is quoted up front, before we start; if you send a finished file instead, setting it up for print is free.
We made it in Canva. Will it print properly?
Yes, if the canvas was set to the real size before you started. Our Canva setup guide has the exact size and the download settings; we check every file before it prints and tell you first if anything needs fixing.

Your names exactly as they should appear, the date, the size and the date it has to arrive by. A photo of an invitation or a Pinterest sign you like is enough to set the style from.

Check every letter of both names and the date. Mark up anything that is wrong. Nothing is printed until you approve it, and you pay after the approval, not before.

Foam board goes out two working days after payment, which follows your proof approval, then courier transit. Order two weeks before the day and there is time for a second proof and a spare day either side.
