Artwork setup, free with every print order

Send us the file and we make it print-ready — bleed, size, colour, resolution, cut lines, or a logo turned into proper vector. Setting up your file for print is free when you print the job with us — bleed, size, colour, resolution and cut lines, with no minimum order and no setup fee. Artwork and design work — a logo vectorised or redrawn, a layout from nothing — is priced, and quoted before we start. Printing somewhere else? The fixed prices below apply.

Fixed price, no quote needed

Only when printing elsewhere · inc GST · usually same or next working day

15 minutes of work

$29

Print-ready fix — a file that is nearly right, made right. Bleed added, size corrected, RGB converted to CMYK, resolution checked and the trim box set so the press knows where to cut.

20 minutes of work

$39

Cut contour and sticker setup — a clean die-cut or kiss-cut path around your artwork, on its own spot-colour layer, the way a cutter actually needs it rather than a shape drawn on top.

30 minutes of work

$49

Logo vectorised — a flat, solid-colour logo traced to clean vector paths and tidied by hand, so it is sharp on a card and sharp on a six-metre fascia. Read the next section if your logo is not flat.

What we print for this

Proofed before they run

Quoted, because the work is not a fixed shape

From $120

Logo redrawn

When the only copy of the logo is a photo, a screenshot off a website, or an AI-generated image. These cannot be traced — there is nothing clean underneath to trace. They have to be drawn again, and that is a different job to a trace, so it is priced as one. Whole design made by AI?

Priced per job

Design from scratch

A card, a flyer, a brochure or a banner designed from your content rather than fixed up from your file. Priced per job, not per hour, so you know the number before we start.

From $49

Menu price update

Prices, corrections and a dish on or off, on a menu we hold or a clean PDF. Free with a reprint of 500 or more. The rest of the menu work, from a book remapped to takeaway to an AI-made menu fixed, is on restaurant menus.

From $249

Book menu to takeaway

Your book menu or flat A3 re-typeset onto a takeaway DL or a flat A4, in the same look, 3 to 5 working days to a proof.

The part worth reading twice

Printing it with us? The setup is free

Every print order includes the setup — there is no setup fee and no minimum order. Canva files, AI images, a nearly-right PDF: send what you have. Vectorising, redrawing or designing is artwork work, and it is quoted before we start. We would rather spend twenty minutes on your file than print something you are not happy with, and a job that goes to press correctly the first time costs us less than a reprint.

The fixed prices above are for when you are not printing with us — a file for another supplier, an in-house printer, or artwork you just want to own properly. That is a real service and we are happy to do it; it is simply not something we can also give away.

Why this exists

Straight answer

Design tools got very good at producing something that looks finished on a screen, and no better at producing something a press can use. A logo generated in an afternoon is a 1024-pixel raster with soft edges. A layout built at screen size has no bleed and no idea what a trim line is. Both look completely fine right up until they are printed.

The usual outcome is that you take the file to a printer, are told it needs artwork work, and are quoted an hourly rate with a one-hour minimum for what is often fifteen minutes of work. That is not a rort — the time is real — but the pricing has nothing to do with the size of the job.

So we priced the small jobs as small jobs. A bleed fix is $29 because it takes about 15 minutes. If yours turns out to be bigger than that, we tell you what it actually is and quote it before doing anything — you will never get an invoice you have not already agreed to.

Try it yourself first, genuinely. The free tools on this site do several of these jobs automatically, in your browser, with nothing uploaded, and the print templates stop the problem happening in the first place. If they get you there, you owe us nothing and we would rather you kept the $29.

How it goes

Send the file and say what it is for

What it is being printed as, and at what finished size. A logo for a business card and a logo for a vehicle wrap are not the same job, and knowing which one it is changes what we do.

We tell you the price before we touch it

Usually it is one of the fixed prices above, and we say so. If it is a redraw rather than a trace, or the layout needs rebuilding rather than fixing, we say that instead and quote it. Nothing starts until you agree to a number.

You get the files back, and they are yours

A print-ready PDF, plus the vector source where the job produced one. You own them outright and can take them to any printer. We do not hold artwork hostage to keep the printing.

Printing with us? It comes off the order

With a print order the setup is free, and you still see a proof and approve it before anything runs.

What helps us most

  • The biggest, cleanest version you have. Not the one pulled off a website or lifted out of a slide deck. A logo from an old invoice PDF is often vector already, which turns a redraw back into a trace.
  • Ask whoever designed it first. They will have an AI, EPS or SVG somewhere. Ten minutes chasing that beats anything we can do from a JPG, and the result is the actual logo rather than our best reconstruction of it.
  • Tell us the finished size in millimetres. Everything downstream — resolution, bleed, how much detail survives — depends on it.
  • Say if there is a deadline. Most of this is same or next working day, but we would rather know than guess.

Common questions

How much does it cost to make a file print-ready?

$29 including GST for a Print-ready fix — bleed added, size corrected, colour converted to CMYK, resolution checked and the trim box set. That covers about 15 minutes of work, which is what most files need. If yours needs more than that we tell you what it is and quote it before starting. With a print order from us, it is free.

Can you vectorise a logo that was generated by AI?

Usually not by tracing it, no. AI-generated logos are raster images with soft edges, gradients and compression artefacts, and tracing one produces a crisp vector of those artefacts rather than a clean logo. It has to be drawn again by hand, which is the Logo redrawn job at from $120 rather than the $49 trace. We will tell you which one yours is before you pay anything. You can also see the problem for yourself with the free logo to vector tool — if the result comes out clean, you do not need us.

Do I have to print with you to use this?

No. The fixed prices are exactly for people printing somewhere else, or who simply want to own a proper set of files. You get a print-ready PDF and the vector source where there is one, and they are yours to take anywhere. If you do print the job with us, there is no setup fee at all.

Why is there no hourly rate?

Because an hourly rate with a one-hour minimum charges the same for fifteen minutes of work as for sixty, and most artwork fixes are fifteen minutes. Pricing the common jobs as fixed jobs means you know the number before you send the file, and it means we have to be honest when something is genuinely bigger — at which point we quote it rather than quietly running up hours.

What do you need from me to quote it?

The file itself, what it is being printed as, and the finished size in millimetres. Send the largest and cleanest copy you have rather than one pulled off a website. If someone else designed the artwork, ask them for the original vector first — it is often the difference between a $49 job and a redraw.

Will you fix artwork that came out of your free tools?

Yes, and on a job printed with us there is no charge for it at all. The tools are automated and automated output is not guaranteed to be right — a trace can miss a curve, a cut contour can clip a corner. If what came out is not right, send it over. If you are printing the job elsewhere, the fixed prices above apply.
