500 folded brochures cost $214.50 including GST on an A4 sheet, half fold or Z-fold on 150gsm gloss stock. An A3 sheet adds $0.40 per brochure, because it is twice the paper and a second pass through the press. Roll fold adds $19.80 to the order because the panels have to be stepped in width. Delivery Australia-wide is included in that price.

Brochures are printed on an A4 or an A3 sheet, and the fold sets the finished size. An A4 sheet (297 × 210mm) folds in half to A5 (148 × 210mm) or in thirds to DL (99 × 210mm), which is the standard letterbox and brochure-rack size. An A3 sheet (420 × 297mm) folds in half to A4 (210 × 297mm), or in thirds to three 140 × 297mm panels. Pick the sheet and the fold on the configurator above and the price updates for the pair. An A5 sheet, a DL bi-fold or an 8pp DL are quoted rather than priced online — send them through the order request with the quantity and stock.

On the outside of the sheet, the right-hand panel — and on a roll fold it is the widest, 100mm against 99 and 98. The fold planner draws both sides of every sheet and fold we print, with each panel labelled front cover, back cover or the flap that tucks in, and hands you the matching template.

Brochures take 2-4 working days from payment, delivered. Need it sooner? Ask — a tighter date is quoted per job — talk to us or put the date on the order request. Scoring and folding is a second pass through a separate machine, so a folded job has a step a flat one does not — it still lands inside the same window. Production runs at the nearest press we work with to the delivery address.

A Z-fold zig-zags, so all three panels are the same width and it opens flat like a concertina; a roll fold tucks each panel inside the next, so the inner panels have to be a few millimetres narrower. That stepping is why roll fold costs $19.80 more to set up. Half fold is a single crease down the middle and is the cheapest of the three.

No — every stock above 170gsm is scored before folding as standard, which is what stops the fibres cracking and showing the white core. Unscored heavy stock cracks along the fold every time. Scoring is included in the price rather than sold as an extra.

Brochures need 3mm of bleed on every outside edge, and nothing important within 3mm of a fold either. A flat A4 sheet is 297 × 210mm and folds down to 99 × 210mm DL; a flat A3 sheet is 420 × 297mm and folds in half to A4. On a roll fold, remember the panels are not all the same width, so a design laid out in equal thirds will not line up.
