Questions about ordering print online
The short version, before anything else: HSH Prints and Signages is an online order desk, not a shop. There is no counter to walk up to and no address to drive to — your job is made at a trade press in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria and couriered to you. Everything below is the detail.
Where you are, and how this works
The one people ring about
Do you have a shop or showroom I can visit?
No, and not in any city — there is no HSH Prints and Signages counter anywhere. We are an online order desk: you price the job on the site or by phone, we check the artwork, you approve a proof, and it is couriered to you. What you give up is somewhere to stand and wait. What you get instead is a proof on every job before it runs, pricing on the page rather than “POA”, and one number that reaches a person — (02) 5302 3372.
Can I come and pick my order up?
Sometimes, on board, A-frames and banners only — those are made close to where they are going, so for those there may be somewhere near you. Say so at the checkout and we tell you with your proof whether it can be arranged for that particular job. It is answered job by job rather than promised, because it depends on which press ran it. Flat print, cards, flyers and stickers are couriered; there is no pickup point for those.
Where are you based?
The desk is in New South Wales and answers on Sydney time. Production is spread across New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, deliberately: rigid board and rolled banners are bulky and light, so couriers price them by volume and an interstate run can cost more than the signs on it. Making your job in or near your own state is what keeps freight sensible, and it is why there is no single address to give you.
Are you a real Australian business?
Yes. HSH Prints and Signages is a registered Australian business name, ABN 59 723 663 362 — the ABN is at the bottom of every page on this site and it is the one on your invoice. Put that number into ABN Lookup, the government register, and it lists the business name HSH PRINTS AND SIGNAGES, registered for GST. Who we are sets out the arrangement in full, including what is ours and what is the press’s.
When can I reach someone?
Sydney business hours, Monday to Friday. Call (02) 5302 3372, email hello@hshprints.com.au, or send the contact form — all three reach the same desk, and email is best if you want the answer in writing. Out of hours, leave the job details and we pick it up next morning.
Can I just order over the phone?
Yes. Ring (02) 5302 3372 and we will price it with you and send the order by email. Nothing about ordering requires the website — the site exists so you can see the price and check your artwork without waiting for anyone, not because we would rather not talk to you.
Ordering and paying
Do I need an account to order?
No. No account to open, no minimum spend and nothing to sign. Price it, send the artwork, approve the proof, pay the invoice. If you order often enough that a login would help, one exists at your account, but it is a convenience rather than a gate.
How do I pay? Can I pay by card?
By bank transfer to the details on your tax invoice, quoting the order reference, or by card through the “Pay this invoice” link on it. The card link opens Stripe’s secure payment page for the exact amount; if you would rather pay up front, "Pay now by card" at checkout opens the same Stripe page, and either way we never see or hold card details. There is no card surcharge — the invoice total is what you pay either way. The invoice comes after you have approved your proof, so you pay for something you have already seen and signed off — which is the whole point of the order, not a limitation of it. Accounts on terms are available to established trade customers by arrangement.
When am I charged?
After you approve the proof, and not before. Placing an order takes no money. If you change your mind before approval you owe nothing, less any design work you asked us to do first. The six steps spells out where each one sits.
Do your prices include GST?
Yes. Every price on every product page includes GST, and the cart shows the GST it contains as its own line. Delivery is included too, on everything you can order online: the number you see is the number you pay, with no freight line added at the cart. Quoted work comes with delivery in the quote. Your complete delivered price is confirmed before you pay.
Is there a minimum order?
Not a spend minimum, but each product has a smallest run it can be made in — 250 business cards, 250 flyers, five corflute signs from $128, delivered. The quantity ladder on each product page shows what the next bracket costs before you commit, and the jump is usually smaller than people expect.
Can I get a quote instead of ordering off the page?
Yes, and for some things you must: shopfront signage, vehicle signage and promotional products depend on a site measure or a supplier’s stock, so the desk prices those by hand. Use the order request and the confirmed number comes back by email in writing.
Artwork and proofs
What if I do not have artwork?
We design it — our in-house team does artwork for print all day, priced per job rather than per hour and quoted before we start. If you have something already — a Canva file, an AI image, a logo off your website — checking and setting it up for print is free with every order. From a blank page, the design is quoted with the print, before anything starts.
What file should I send?
A print-ready PDF is ideal. If you are not sure yours is right, the free prepress tools check bleed, resolution and safe area in your browser before you order — nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else. Finding out the file is wrong now is considerably cheaper than finding out on the proof.
Do I see it before it prints?
Always — nothing goes to press until you approve a proof, on every job without exception. We send a link that opens on your phone with no login and no app: zoom in, drop a pin on the problem, draw on it, type what needs changing. Nothing goes to press until you approve. Most online print either shows you nothing or emails a flat PDF you cannot mark up, and that is where most print disappointment comes from.
Delivery
Where do you deliver?
Australia-wide, at the same price in every state: everything you can order online is priced with delivery included. It is made in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria and couriered from there, so metro and major regional addresses in those states are the quickest, and elsewhere you should allow 1 to 2 working days longer outside NSW, QLD and VIC — the extra is time, never money. The one exception is signage we fit ourselves, which is New South Wales and Queensland. The delivery terms have the detail.
How long does it take?
Two to three working days on most print, two to four on signage and banners — from payment, delivered, not from when it leaves the press. Each product page states its own turnaround: 2-4 working days on business cards, 2-4 working days on corflute. A few take longer: presentation folders (5-7 working days), coasters (6-7) and printed t-shirts (4-5). If anything threatens the date we tell you before it does, not after. Need it sooner? Ask — a tighter date is quoted per job.
How much is delivery?
Everything you can buy online is priced delivered — business cards, plain business cards, christmas cards, greeting cards, flyers, brochures, presentation folders, posters, stickers and decals, qr code stickers, label rolls, corflute and site signs, a-frame signs, premium a-frame signs, pull-up banners, flags, table throws, vinyl banners, coasters, swing tags, printed t-shirts, real estate stickers, premium business cards and appointment cards: the figure on the page includes the courier, and the cart adds no freight line at all. Quoted jobs — shopfront and vehicle signage, custom-size banners and anything else priced by hand — carry their delivery in the quote. Your complete delivered price is confirmed before you pay.
Will my whole order arrive in one box?
Not always, and the cart tells you before you pay. A box of business cards and a stack of corflute are two different consignments on two different trucks, because they are made at the presses that do each one best. Where your basket spans more than one, the cart says how many deliveries are coming and you get a courier reference for each as it ships. Buying one kind of thing is one delivery.
Can it be delivered somewhere other than my office?
Yes — give us the address and the date it needs to land by and we address the delivery accordingly, including straight to a venue or a construction site. We cannot deliver to a PO box, because couriers will not carry printed cartons to one.
Can I track it?
Yes. Your proof page carries a private tracker link at the foot of it, so from the moment your proof arrives you can see where the job is, live, with the due date on it: received, artwork, your approval, payment, printing, dispatched, delivered. No login, it is safe to forward, and it is the same link for the life of the order — so keep the proof email, because that is how you get back to it.
If something is wrong
What if it does not match the proof I approved?
That is ours. We reprint it — you do not pay twice and you do not argue about it. If it does match the proof you approved but the proof itself had a typo in it, that is not ours, which is the honest reason the proof step is worth two minutes rather than a reflexive click. The reprint policy in full.
Can I cancel or change my mind?
Before you approve the proof, yes, and you owe nothing beyond any design work already done. After it has printed, no: custom-printed goods carry no change-of-mind right under Australian Consumer Law, which is standard across the industry. Your consumer guarantees for goods that are faulty or not as described are unaffected, and the approval trail is what settles which of those applies.
Something has gone quiet. Who do I chase?
The same desk that took the order. Ring (02) 5302 3372 or reply to any email in the thread — there is no call centre and no ticket queue to be passed along, which is one of the few genuine advantages of being small.
