Terms of sale
These are the terms you order under. They are written to be read, not to be survived — if anything here is unclear, ask us before you order rather than after.
Who you are dealing with
HSH Prints and Signages supplies print, signage and promotional products to customers across Australia, made in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, and measures and installs shopfront and vehicle signage in New South Wales and Queensland. Delivery is at the same price in every state; outside the states we produce in, allow 1 to 2 working days longer outside NSW, QLD and VIC. We produce through print partners close to where the job is going wherever we can, rather than shipping finished work across the country. You deal with us throughout — quoting, proofing, delivery and anything that goes wrong.
Quotes and prices
Prices shown on product pages include GST and are calculated from the options you select. Where a product can be bought through the cart, the price shown also includes delivery to a street address anywhere in Australia, and no freight line is added. Where a destination or a run cannot be delivered at that price — a place we do not deliver to, or an order too large for one consignment — the checkout says so and hands you to the quote form rather than guessing.
Where a product is quoted rather than sold from a configurator, a configurator price is an indicative price for that specification and we confirm the total, delivery included, in writing before you pay.
Quotes are valid for 30 days. A quote can change if the specification changes, if artwork turns out to need work that was not in the brief, or if you ask for a deadline that requires a rush. We tell you before doing any of it — you will never receive an invoice larger than the figure you accepted.
Products priced on enquiry — shopfront signage, vehicle signage, promotional products — have no fixed price until we quote them. Any range shown for these is indicative only and is not an offer.
Artwork
You are responsible for the content of what you send us. By supplying artwork you confirm you have the right to reproduce it, including any fonts, images and trade marks in it. We are not able to check that for you, and we are not liable for infringement in artwork you supply.
We check every file for the mechanical things before it runs: bleed, resolution, safe area, cut lines and colour mode. We do not proofread. Spelling, phone numbers, prices and dates are yours to check, and the proof exists so that you can.
If your file needs work to be printable, we tell you what is wrong and either fix it as a quoted add-on or hand it back for you to correct. We do not silently alter artwork.
Artwork produced by our own free tools is the exception. The tools on this site and the print templates are automated, and automated output is not guaranteed to be right — a trace can miss a curve, a generated cut line can clip a corner. If something one of them produced is not right, we set that file up properly at no charge with any print order — no setup fee, and no quoted add-on for it.
Artwork setup bought on its own — for a job you are printing elsewhere, or where there is no print order — is a separate service at the fixed prices published on that page, from $29. Those prices cover the scope stated against each one. Where a file needs more than that scope (a logo redrawn rather than traced, a layout rebuilt rather than corrected) we tell you before starting and quote it; we never begin work you have not agreed a price for. Files we produce are yours outright, including the vector source where the job produces one.
Proofs and approval
Nothing goes to press until you approve a proof. We send a link that opens on your phone; you can zoom in, mark up anything that is wrong, and send it back.
Approving the proof is the point at which the job becomes final. If the delivered work matches the proof you approved, it has been supplied correctly — including any error that was visible in the proof. If it does not match the approved proof, that is our problem and we fix it. See reprints and remakes.
Production time is quoted from payment, which follows your proof approval, not from when you order. A slow approval or a slow transfer moves the delivery date.
Turnaround and the 12pm cut-off
Where a product page says how long an order takes to make (for example “made in 24–48 hours”), that time starts on the working day your proof is approved and your payment is received, if both happen by 12pm Sydney time. Approved or paid after 12pm, or on a weekend or public holiday, it starts on the next working day. Delivery time is counted separately, from dispatch, and is an estimate that depends on the courier; addresses outside New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria take 1 to 2 working days longer outside NSW, QLD and VIC.
Christmas production break. Production closes over Christmas and New Year — for 2026–27, from Friday 18 December to Monday 4 January inclusive — and those days are not working days for any production or delivery time. The last orders made before the break are those approved and paid by 12pm Sydney time on Tuesday 15 December. During the break the full range is not available to order; quotes and special requests for selected items can still be made by email, and we confirm in writing what can be arranged.
Payment
Orders are paid in full before production begins, unless you have an approved account on terms.
Nothing is charged when you place an order. Every order — priced on this site or quoted by us — is invoiced after you have approved your proof, and production is scheduled when that payment clears. So you see exactly what you are buying before you pay for it. The amount invoiced is calculated by us, from the published catalog price for your order and address — never from a figure your browser supplied. Where a product includes delivery, as everything sold online does, no freight is added to that figure.
You can pay your tax invoice by bank transfer, to the details on it, quoting the order reference; or by card, through the “Pay this invoice” link on it. The card link opens a payment page run by our payment processor, Stripe, for the exact amount of that invoice; your card details go to Stripe, and we never see or hold them. There is no surcharge for paying by card: the invoice total is what you pay, either way. Where the checkout offers it, you may instead choose to pay now by card, on the same Stripe payment page; the proof step is unchanged, and nothing prints before you approve it. Unless you choose that, nothing is charged before you have approved your proof. Production is scheduled when a bank transfer clears or a card payment is confirmed. Accounts on terms are available to established trade customers by arrangement.
Where money is owed back to you — a cancellation allowed below, or a reprint we cannot make — it is returned the way it was paid: to the card for a card payment, or to your nominated account for a bank transfer.
Your tax invoice is issued by us and shows the GST component separately.
Delivery and courier delays
Delivery times are estimates. Every delivery time on this site, in a quote or in an email — including a “made in” time, a “delivered in” time or an “arrives by” date — is an estimate given in good faith, not a guaranteed delivery date. Time is not of the essence unless we have agreed a delivery date for your order in writing (see “When you need it by a date” below).
What we are responsible for is making the order and handing it to the courier within the production time shown for it. Once it is with the courier, the time it takes in transit is set by the courier and is outside our control. We do not offer refunds, discounts or compensation when an order arrives later than estimated because of the courier, or because of anything else beyond our reasonable control — for example severe weather, natural disasters, industrial action, road or network outages, public health orders, or a supplier or courier closure — except where the Australian Consumer Law requires us to.
If a delivery is running late, we chase it. We follow it up with the courier, pass on the tracking, and keep you told of what we hear. Your proof page’s tracker shows when the order was dispatched.
If the courier loses it, or it has not arrived 5 working days after the estimate and the courier cannot find it, we reprint and resend it at no cost to you. That is the remedy we offer for an order lost in transit, alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If it arrives damaged, please tell us within 48 hours and photograph the carton before unpacking further, so we can claim from the courier; we then remake and resend it. A later report can take longer to resolve, but it does not remove your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The address and access are yours to get right. If the address you give is wrong or incomplete, a site has restricted access or hours you did not tell us about, or nobody can receive the delivery, any redelivery cost and the extra time are yours. If you authorise the courier to leave the order without a signature, risk passes to you when it is left.
When you need it by a date. Tell us before you order. If we can meet it, we confirm the date for that order in writing; a date only becomes agreed that way, not from an estimate on the site. Even for an agreed date we cannot control the courier, and if a courier delay makes it late our responsibility is as set out above and under “Your rights under Australian Consumer Law” below.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. See delivery for timeframes and areas.
Changes and cancellation
Before proof approval, you can change or cancel an order and you owe nothing, less any work already done at your request — usually design or prepress time, and we tell you what that is before invoicing it. Nothing has been charged at that point, so there is nothing to refund; the window closes at approval, not at payment.
After proof approval, printed work is custom-made to your specification and generally cannot be cancelled once it is on the press. If you need to stop a job, call us immediately: whether that is possible depends entirely on where it is in production.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Where we are permitted to limit our liability, we limit it to re-supplying the goods or services, or paying the cost of having them re-supplied. We are not liable for consequential loss — for example a missed event, lost sales, or the cost of a venue — arising from a late or defective delivery. If a deadline is critical, tell us before you order so we can be honest about whether we can meet it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
