What moves the number
- Size. A3 is twice the paper of A4 on every one of its thirteen pages.
- How many. One calendar for the family and a hundred for a client list are priced very differently; the cost per calendar falls steeply as the run grows.
- One design or several. The same calendar printed a hundred times is one set of artwork. A different photo set for each copy is a different job.
- Stock. A heavier satin or gloss holds a photograph better and costs more per page.
- Artwork. Send the finished pages, or send the photos and we lay the pages out — that layout is quoted before we start.

Thirteen photos, or your logo for a business run, and how many you need
Written price, GST included, within 4 business hours
Twelve months and a cover, your photos on top and a month you can write on underneath, bound at the top to hang on a hook. Every public holiday in New South Wales, Queensland or Victoria is named in its own day box — including the added weekday when Christmas falls on a weekend, the Brisbane show day and Melbourne Cup day — because a calendar that marks the wrong Monday in June is the one thing a family or a client will notice all year. In A4 for a desk or a pantry door, or A3 for a kitchen or an office wall.

School holidays are tinted on the New South Wales and Victorian editions. Queensland’s are added when the department publishes them; until then that edition marks the public holidays only.
Common questions
How much does a photo wall calendar cost?
It is quoted per job rather than from a price list: the size, how many and whether every copy is the same are what move it, and one calendar for the family is priced very differently from a hundred for a client list. Send the photos, the size and a count and you get a written price, GST included, within 4 business hours.
Which public holidays are on it?
Every public holiday gazetted in New South Wales, Queensland or Victoria for 2027, named in its day box on the edition for your state — including the extra weekday each state adds when Christmas Day or Boxing Day lands on a weekend, the Royal Queensland Show day in Brisbane and Melbourne Cup day. The Friday before the AFL Grand Final is added to the Victorian edition once the date is announced. The dates come from the same checked list as our free wall planner.
Can we put our business on it?
Yes — that is what most calendars in a run of fifty or more are for. Your logo, name and number go in the strip along the foot of every page, and the cover can carry your name as its title. A calendar sits in a client’s kitchen for twelve months, which is longer than any other piece of print you will send them.
What size photos do I need?
The table above has every photo box in millimetres and in pixels at 300dpi. As a rule, a recent phone photo is enough for A4, and A3 needs the full-size original rather than one that has been sent through a messaging app. We check every photo before it prints and tell you if one will not hold up.
When should we order for Christmas or for January?
Business calendars for client gifts are usually ordered in October and November, and family ones in November. Tell the desk the date it has to land by and it is confirmed with the price, before anything is committed.
Do you make a Victorian edition?
Yes — since October 2026 there is a Victorian edition alongside New South Wales and Queensland, with Victoria’s public holidays and the 2027 school terms.
What happens if the job arrives wrong?
Tell the desk as soon as it lands, with a photo of what you received. If the fault is in the making, it is remade under the reprints policy; if it is in the artwork, we say so straight rather than reprinting the same mistake.
What your photos need to be
The size of each photo box, bleed included
| Page | Photo, with bleed | At 300dpi |
|---|---|---|
| A4 · Cover | 216 × 225mm | 2551 × 2657px |
| A4 · Each month | 216 × 151mm | 2551 × 1783px |
| A3 · Cover | 303 × 317mm | 3579 × 3744px |
| A3 · Each month | 303 × 212mm | 3579 × 2504px |
A recent phone photo is usually big enough for A4; A3 needs the full-size original, not one sent through a messaging app, which shrinks it. Landscape photos suit the month pages and anything goes on the cover. Not sure? Run it through the free resolution checker first — it tells you the real dpi at the size it will print, and nothing is uploaded.

| A3, 13 pages 3mm bleed, binding zone on its own layer | 297 × 420mm |
For a designer, or for setting your own pages up in Canva or InDesign: each file has all thirteen pages at their trim with 3mm of bleed, the photo boxes marked with their sizes, and the top 10mm — where the binding and the hanger go — on a guide layer to switch off before printing. Keep faces and text out of that strip.
How it runs
-
Send the photos and a count
Thirteen photos — one for the cover and one a month — the state, the size and how many. For a business run, your logo and the name and number to put in the strip along the foot of every page.
-
A written price
GST and delivery included, within 4 business hours. Nothing is charged at this point and nothing is committed.
-
We set the pages
Each photo cropped to its box and checked for resolution before it goes anywhere near a press. Setting up finished pages for print is free; laying pages out from your photos is quoted first.
-
Proof, then you pay
Every page opens on your phone with no login. Mark up anything that is wrong. Nothing goes to press until you approve it, and the invoice follows the approval rather than preceding it.
