How much do presentation folders cost?
25 folders are $249, 50 are $309, 100 are $439 and 250 are $799, including GST and delivery Australia-wide. That is an A4 folder with one pocket, printed on the front with a gloss or matt laminate. More than 250, printing on the inside, spot UV or a second pocket is quoted, the same business day.
What size is a presentation folder?
A standard presentation folder is A4: it closes a little larger than an A4 sheet so the sheets inside sit clear of the edges and the pocket. It closes at 219.6 × 309.6mm, and the pocket, the flap and the slits are all on the folder template, which is the file to design on. A folder for A5 sheets, or any other size, is a custom die and is quoted as one.
One pocket or two?
The priced folder has one pocket, glued on the right-hand inside panel, which holds a quote pack, a listing kit or a set of notes. Two pockets, one on each inside panel, keep two things apart — a brochure on the left, the quote and the card on the right — and are quoted, because there is a second glue pass.
What is a capacity spine, and do I need one?
A capacity spine is a flat strip a few millimetres wide between the two panels, so the folder closes square around a thicker pack instead of bowing open. A folder that holds a few sheets does not need one. A folder that holds a stapled document, a brochure and a card together usually does — 5mm is the common width. A spine is quoted: say how thick the pack is on the order request and it is set to suit.
Can the folder hold a business card?
Yes — two slits are die-cut into the pocket and hold a standard 90 × 55mm business card by its corners, so the card is the first thing seen when the folder opens. If you need cards to go with the folders, business cards are printed here as well and can travel with the same job.
Gloss or matt?
Both are a laminate over the printed front, and both are the same price. Gloss lifts a photograph and wipes clean; matt reads softer, scuffs less when the folder rides in a bag, and does not show fingerprints. On a folder that is handled a lot, matt is the usual choice. The laminate guide compares the two on print you can hold.
Can you print the inside too?
Yes, but it is quoted rather than priced here: the packages are printed on the front only, which is what most folders need — the inside is covered by what goes in it. Send the artwork for both sides on the order request and the price comes back the same business day.
How long do presentation folders take?
Allow 5-7 working days in production, plus delivery Australia-wide, and the date is confirmed on your quote. A folder is printed, laminated, die-cut and glued in turn, which is why it runs longer than flat print; your proof page carries a private tracker link that shows where the job is, live, with the due date on it. Need it sooner? Say so on the order request and a tighter date is quoted per job.
What artwork do you need for a folder?
A PDF set up on the folder template, with 3mm of bleed past every cut line and words and logos at least 5mm inside it. The template has the covers, the pocket, the glue flap and the card slits drawn on a guides layer you delete before exporting; page one is the outside, the side that is printed. If you only have a logo and the words, artwork setup lays the folder out for you, priced per job.
What happens if the job arrives wrong?
Tell the desk as soon as it lands, with a photo of what you received. If the fault is in the making, it is remade under the reprints policy; if it is in the artwork, we say so straight rather than reprinting the same mistake. When your print arrives wrong walks through what to photograph and what to expect.
