Common questions
How much does a premium A-frame cost?
$289 for 600 × 900mm panels and $399 for 900 × 1200mm, each including GST, printing on both sides, the gloss laminate and delivery Australia-wide. The price is the same whether you order one or several.
Is the size the panel or the whole sign?
The panel. 600 × 900mm and 900 × 1200mm are the printed faces; the frame stands taller than that because of its legs, and a little wider at the base.
Can each side have a different design?
Yes, at no extra cost. Most cafés put the brand on one side and the offer on the other, so a person walking either way sees something different. Send both files with the order and both are on the proof.
Why aluminium composite rather than corflute or thin metal?
It stays flat. A 3mm composite panel is two thin skins of aluminium bonded to a solid core, so it does not bow in the sun or ripple in the cold the way a thin sheet can, and a flat panel is what makes a photograph on it look like a photograph. The gloss laminate on top wipes clean and keeps the colour through the weather.
Can I change the message later?
Not by swapping panels — they are bonded to the frame, which is what gives the clean edge. For a message that changes often, the standard A-frame is the better buy: its inserts slide out, and a new one costs a printed insert, not a sign.
How long does it take?
2-4 working days from payment, delivered, after you approve the proof. Need it sooner? Ask — a tighter date is quoted per job — talk to us.
Will it blow over?
It is heavier than the standard A-frame — about 9kg packed for 600 × 900mm and 15kg for 900 × 1200mm — so it holds its place on an ordinary day. No footpath sign is made for a storm: in a strong wind, bring it in. Bring it in overnight too.
Do I need council approval for a footpath sign?
Usually yes — most councils in New South Wales and Queensland regulate signs placed on a public footpath, separately from signs fixed to the building. Confirm with yours before ordering. What to ask your council takes about ten minutes.
What resolution does the artwork need?
150dpi at the full panel size is plenty for a sign read from a few metres, and a photograph should be at least that. Check a file with the free resolution checker before you send it, and use the templates above, which have the 5mm bleed and the safe area marked.
