Shopfront signage
We are rated5.0on GoogleSee your proof before it runs. Made in NSW and QLD.
Indicative range
$1,200 – $9,000
A flat ACM fascia panel on an accessible wall sits at the bottom of that range. Illuminated fabricated letters at height, needing a lift and an electrician, sit at the top. This is a range, not a quote — anyone giving you a firm number for a shopfront sign without seeing it is guessing.
What moves the number
- Access and height. Ladder, scaffold or scissor lift. This changes the install cost more than the sign changes the fabrication cost.
- Illumination. LED adds fabrication, a power supply, and a licensed electrician to connect it.
- Substrate. Brick, render, timber and composite panel all take different fixings, and some need the landlord's consent.
- Council approval. Frequently required for building signage in both NSW and QLD, and it has its own timeline.
- Size and letter count. Individually fabricated letters cost per letter, not per metre.

Fixed written quote within 3 working days of the visit
Shopfront signage is the fixed sign on a building — a flat ACM fascia panel, individually fabricated letters, an illuminated light box, or cut vinyl on the glass. It is designed, fabricated and installed rather than printed and posted. Every job is measured on site first, because the access, the height and what the wall is made of move the price more than the sign itself does.
What we fabricate
- Flat fascia panels
- ACM, 3–6mm
- Fabricated letters
- Acrylic or aluminium
- Illuminated
- LED face or halo lit
- Light boxes
- Single or double sided
- Window graphics
- Cut vinyl or frosted
- Typical lead time
- 3–5 weeks
Lead time runs from quote acceptance and includes fabrication, not just install. Council approval, where it is needed, sits outside that.
Common questions
How much does shopfront signage cost?
Shopfront signage is quoted after a site measure rather than priced from a configurator, and the indicative range on this page is a range rather than a quote. Access and height move the number more than the sign itself does: a flat ACM fascia panel on a reachable wall sits at the bottom, illuminated fabricated letters needing a lift and a licensed electrician sit at the top. You get a fixed written quote within 3 working days of the visit.
How long does shopfront signage take?
Typical lead time is 3 to 5 weeks from quote acceptance, covering fabrication as well as installation. Council approval, where it is needed, sits outside that timeline and is usually longer than the fabrication — which is why it is worth checking before you order rather than after.
Do I need council approval for a shopfront sign?
Shopfront signs often do need council approval in both New South Wales and Queensland, and you should confirm it with your own council before ordering anything. Signs fixed to a building are the most regulated category in both New South Wales and Queensland, illumination changes the answer again, and heritage listings and conservation areas remove exemptions that would otherwise apply. What to ask your council takes about ten minutes, and we can handle the application as a paid add-on.
What happens at a site measure, and does it cost anything?
A site measure is a free visit within the metro areas we produce in, where a crew measures the elevation and checks the substrate, the access and the power. You then get a rendered mock-up of the sign on a photo of your actual building and a fixed written quote — a number, not a range. Send a square-on photo with rough dimensions first and we will tell you whether the range is even the right range before anyone drives anywhere.
Why is there no instant price on this page?
A price produced before anyone has seen the wall is a price that changes later, so shopfront signage is quoted after a site measure instead. The fascia turns out to be 400mm shallower than assumed, or there is no power within fifteen metres, or the landlord will not permit a fixing into the render. Printed things ship and can be bought in two minutes on this site; things that get bolted to a building get measured first.
Do you install shopfront signage across NSW and QLD?
Yes — shopfront signage is designed, fabricated and installed across New South Wales and Queensland by a crew in your own state. We fabricate flat ACM fascia panels in 3–6mm, acrylic and aluminium letters, LED face-lit and halo-lit signs, single and double sided light boxes, and cut or frosted window vinyl. Electrical work is done by a licensed electrician wherever illumination is involved.
What happens if the job arrives wrong?
Tell the desk as soon as it lands, with a photo of what you received. If the fault is in the making, it is remade under the reprints policy; if it is in the artwork, we say so straight rather than reprinting the same mistake. When your print arrives wrong walks through what to photograph and what to expect.
How much do shop front signs cost, and what do the prices depend on?
As an indicative range, shop front signage runs from about $1,200 for a flat fascia panel on an accessible wall to about $9,000 for illuminated fabricated letters at height. It is a range, not a quote: the wall, the access, the lighting and the approval all move it, so we measure on site and then give a written price.
What is a fascia sign?
A fascia sign is the sign fixed to the fascia of a shopfront, the band across the top of the shop above the windows. It is usually a flat panel, often aluminium composite, or individual letters fixed to the wall. It is the sign most customers see first, so it is the one worth getting measured properly.
Do you make aluminium and metal signs?
Our flat shopfront panels are aluminium composite (ACM): a rigid sheet with an aluminium face on each side, which is the usual material for a fascia sign. See ACM and aluminium signs for the board. If you want solid aluminium or another metal, say so in your quote request and the desk will tell you what is possible.
Why there is no checkout on this page
Deliberate
We could put a configurator here and take your money in ninety seconds. Then somebody would arrive, find the fascia is 400mm shallower than assumed, or that there is no power within fifteen metres, or that the landlord will not permit a fixing into the render — and we would be refunding you and wasting everybody's week.
Printed things ship. Installed things get measured. Shipped print you can buy from this site in two minutes, and it is all here. Signage that gets bolted to a building is a different transaction and pretending otherwise is how people end up disappointed.
How it runs
Send us a photo
A square-on shot of the shopfront with rough dimensions on it. The dimensions tool does that in your browser, free. It lets us tell you whether the range above is even the right range before anyone drives anywhere.
Site measure
A crew from your own state measures the elevation, checks the substrate, access and power, and photographs what matters. Free within the metro areas we produce in.
Design and fixed quote
A rendered mock-up of the sign on a photo of your actual building, plus a fixed written quote. Not a range — a number.
Approval, if it is needed
We tell you whether your sign needs council consent and can handle the application as a paid add-on. See the NSW approval guide or the Queensland one first — plenty of signage is exempt. Council by council: Sydney, Parramatta, Blacktown, Newcastle, Wollongong, Brisbane, Logan, Moreton Bay, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.
