Request this orderA custom printed flag is a shaped polyester skin on a sectional pole that bends with the wind instead of fighting it, dye sublimated so the ink sits in the fibre rather than on top of it. Teardrop and feather flags mark a shopfront, a market stall, an open home or an event entrance from down the street, and pack into a bag afterwards. Four heights, one side or both, from $137.87 including GST with the pole set and a ground spike. Design setup is included and you see a proof before anything is printed.
Artwork is printed into the fabric rather than onto it, so the colour does not crack or peel — it fades, slowly. Check your file with the free prepress tools first; nothing is uploaded.
One extra small single-sided flag is $137.87 including GST, complete with the pole set, a ground spike and delivery. A small is $154.37, a medium $173.62, a large $201.12 and a jumbo $236.87. Printing both sides costs more on a bigger flag rather than a flat amount — a second skin on a 5m jumbo is far more fabric than on a 2m extra small — so the most common order, a medium printed both sides, is $236.87. Teardrop and feather cost the same. Delivery and design are both in that figure, and the price per flag drops at five and again at ten.
Yes, and it steps twice. One to four flags are the prices in the table; from five the base of every flag drops to $107.40, and from ten to $97.16 — with the size and both-sides additions unchanged either way. The drop applies to the order rather than to the flag, so a school, a dealership or a market with a row to fill should put the whole set on one order. Above 15 flags the table stops and the desk quotes it, which on an order that size is worth more to you than another rung would be.
The shape, and with it the height. A teardrop curves down its leading edge and holds its shape in still air, which is why it is the classic shopfront flag. A feather is straight-edged and taller for the same footprint — a medium feather stands 3.0m against a 2.7m medium teardrop — so it carries more artwork and moves more in a breeze. They cost the same at each size, so the choice is about the look and the height rather than the price. Something a different shape again — a straight-edged rectangle on a feather pole, say — is a quote rather than an order here.
A single-sided flag is one skin printed once. You read it correctly from the front, and mirrored from the back — text runs backwards. A double-sided flag is two skins sewn together over a blockout liner, so it reads correctly from both sides and nothing shows through from behind. Single-sided is right where the flag stands against a wall, a fence or a shopfront and only has one useful side. Double-sided earns its extra anywhere people pass on both sides — a footpath, a market aisle, an event entrance. On a medium that difference is $236.87 against $173.62; on a jumbo it is wider again, because the second skin is the cost and a jumbo skin is a much bigger piece of fabric.
It depends entirely on what the flag stands on. Grass or soil takes a ground spike, which is included in every price on this page. Concrete, pavers or an indoor floor needs a cross base with a water bag — the bag fills on site, so it ships light and stands heavy. A car park or display lot takes a car base, which clamps under a wheel. A wall bracket or a gazebo mount is available where the flag is fixed to something rather than standing on it. If a flag is going somewhere windy, go a size down rather than adding weight: a shorter flag in a gust is a much smaller lever on the base.
It depends on sun and wind more than anything else: a flag that comes down between events lasts far longer than one standing on a north-facing footpath every day. The print is dye sublimated, which means the ink is in the fibre rather than on the surface, so it does not crack or peel the way a surface print does — it fades slowly and evenly instead, and reds and oranges go first, as they do on everything printed. The pole set outlasts the skin, which is why replacement flags start at $76.
Generally no, for temporary display on private property — a market stall, an open home, an event, a flag put out in the morning and brought in at night. Councils in both states treat that differently from fixed signage bolted to a building. Where it changes is a flag that stays up permanently, one on a footpath or road reserve rather than your own land, or a site in a heritage or special character area. Those can need consent like any other sign. Our council guides for NSW and Queensland set out where the line sits, and there are notes for individual councils including Sydney and Brisbane. If it is going up permanently, check before you order rather than after.
2-4 working days from payment, delivered. That runs from the moment your payment lands rather than from when you ask, so a quick approval and a quick transfer are the fastest way to a fast flag. If a date is genuinely fixed — a show, an opening, a season — say so when you ask and we will tell you honestly whether it can be met.
A logo in vector form is ideal — PDF, AI, EPS or SVG — along with the wording you want and any brand colours. If all you have is a logo from a website, send it anyway and we will tell you whether it will hold up at flag size. Keep the message to a few words: a flag is read at a glance from twenty metres by someone who is walking or driving, and a paragraph on a flag is a paragraph nobody reads. Setting your existing branding up to fit the shape is included. Drawing it yourself? The free flag templates carry the exact page size, bleed and safe area for all five sizes, as a PDF or an SVG.
Tell the desk as soon as it lands, with a photo of what you received. If the fault is in the making, it is remade under the reprints policy; if it is in the artwork, we say so straight rather than reprinting the same mistake. When your print arrives wrong walks through what to photograph and what to expect.
Every flag price on this page is a complete unit: the printed skin, the pole set and a ground spike. Flags can be ordered here — the figure above is the complete delivered price, Australia-wide, with delivery and design setup both already in it and no freight line at the cart. If the base or the sleeve needs a conversation first, ask the desk to quote it instead and you will have the figure in writing, usually the same business day.

Complete with pole set and ground spike, including GST
| Size | Feather height | Teardrop height | One side | Both sides |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Extra small | 2.0m | 1.8m | $137.87 | $176.37 |
| Small | 2.4m | 2.3m | $154.37 | $198.37 |
| Medium | 3.0m | 2.7m | $173.62 | $236.87 |
| Large | 4.0m | 3.7m | $201.12 | $269.87 |
Teardrop and feather cost the same at each size. The price steps down twice on quantity — at five flags and again at ten — and the step applies to the whole order, not just the flags above the line. Ten flags bring the base of every one down to $97.16, or $147.41 each for a small printed both sides. Delivery is already in every figure here — there is no freight line at the cart and nothing added after. Need more than 15? Ask for a quote — past that the desk prices it properly rather than running the table out.
Read from the street, not from the desk
Extra small and small are footpath flags: a shopfront, a market stall, an open home, anything read by someone walking past. They stand on a ground spike or a cross base and one person carries the set. Medium is the size that reads across a car park or from a passing car, and the one most shopfronts on a main road end up with. Large is for a showground, a display lot or a paddock entrance — a flag that has to be seen from a distance and stands where a strong gust has room to hit it, so it wants the heavier base.
One side is one skin, printed once. It reads correctly from the front and mirrored from the back, which is fine against a wall, a fence or a shopfront with one useful side. Both sides is two skins sewn over a blockout liner, so it reads correctly from either direction and nothing shows through. Anywhere people pass on both sides — a footpath, a market aisle, an event entrance — it earns the difference. That difference grows with the flag, because a second skin on a 5m jumbo is a lot more fabric than on a 2m extra small: pick a size and the price updates for both.
The sleeve that the pole runs through comes in black or white; choose the one that disappears against your artwork. A padded carry bag for the pole and skin is available with any flag, and worth it for a set that travels to markets or events.
Scoped, not vague
Design setup included — we adapt your existing logo and branding to your flag at no charge. Ground-up design is quoted per job.
A flag is a difficult shape to design into. It is tall, narrow, curved down one edge, and the bottom third is often behind a passing car. Taking a logo and a couple of lines you already have and setting them up so they read at twenty metres is the part we do not charge for.
If you have nothing yet — no logo, no wording — that is real design work and we price it per job before starting. See design and setup for what that costs, from $29.
Confirmed with your quote
Grass, soil, garden beds. Included in every price on this page. Drives in by foot and holds a flag through ordinary weather; a heavy-duty spike is available where the ground is soft or the flag is large.
Concrete, pavers, tiles, indoor floors. The bag fills on site, so it ships light and stands heavy. This is the one for a shopfront footpath.
Clamps under a wheel. For a car park, a display lot or a stall where nothing can be driven into the ground.
Beyond these three there is a weighted square base, a 20-litre water base, wall brackets at three angles, a floor bracket and a gazebo mount — say where the flag will stand and the desk picks the base and prices it with your quote, because the answer to that is usually a sentence, not a dropdown.
The reorder, not a new set
Replacement flags from $76. The hardware outlasts the message. When the special changes, the phone number changes or the sun has finally had its way with the colours, you need fabric — not another pole set and another base.
We print replacement skins to fit the pole set you already own. Tell us the shape, the height and the sleeve, or send a photo of the flag standing next to something of a known size, and we confirm the fit before anything is printed. Getting the sleeve wrong is the only way this goes wrong, so it is the thing we check.
Send a photo and the height and we will come back with a price and a proof. Same 2-4 working days from payment as a new flag.

Once your artwork is in, we send a link that opens on your phone. Zoom in, drop a pin exactly where something is wrong, draw on it, and send it back. Nothing goes to press until you approve it. Try a sample proof — nothing is sent.
This matters more on a flag than on most things. A flag is read at speed from a distance, so the mistakes that hurt are the ones you cannot see on a screen at full-page zoom — a phone number a size too small, a logo that turns to mush at the curve. The proof is where those get caught.
