What moves the number
- How many. Most services print between 50 and 200. Count the people you expect and add about a fifth.
- The format. A5 folded (four pages) is the usual one. An eight-page booklet fits hymn words and a page of photographs; a DL card suits a short service.
- The paper. 250gsm matt is the quiet choice and takes a pen. 300gsm silk makes a photograph richer.
- The date. Say when the service is before anything else, and you will be told straight away whether it can be met.

The name, the dates, the running order, the photographs, how many, and the day of the service
Written price, GST and delivery included, the same business day
If the service is in the next two days, call (02) 5302 3372 rather than write. A rush is sometimes possible and the only way to know is to ask.
The folded card or booklet handed to each person as they arrive: a photograph and the name on the front, the running order inside, a thank-you on the back. Send the wording and the photos and we set it; or make it yourself with the free template and send the PDF. Either way you see a proof first, and it is delivered to your home or straight to the funeral director.

Common questions
How much does a funeral order of service cost to print?
It is quoted per job, because the number of copies, the format and the paper are what move it, and most services need fewer copies than a printed price list starts at. Send the wording, how many and the date, and you have a written price, GST and delivery included, the same business day.
How quickly can it be printed?
Printing and delivery take 2-4 working days from payment, which follows your approving the proof. Allow a week if you can, because the wording usually takes longest. If the service is sooner, say so first and you will be told honestly whether the date can be met.
Can you design it from our wording and photos?
Yes. Send the wording as it should appear, the photographs you want used, and a note on the style — a church service, a celebration of life — and it is set and sent back as a proof. Setting up a finished file for print is free; design work from a blank page is quoted up front.
Can it be delivered to the funeral home?
Yes. Give the funeral director’s address and the day it is needed by, and it goes there.
What should the photograph be like?
The clearest one you have, as the original file. A photo forwarded through a messaging app arrives smaller than it was taken. An older print is best scanned, or photographed flat in daylight without a flash. The free resolution checker says whether it is sharp enough at the size it will print.
Can we print the words of a hymn or a song?
Traditional hymns and older poems are generally free to print. Recent songs are under copyright, and many churches hold a licence that covers printing words for their own services; ask the celebrant, the church or the funeral director. The readings guide lists verses that can be printed without asking.
What goes in an order of service?
A photograph and the name on the front, with the dates and the service details; the running order inside, with who is speaking or reading and the words of anything people join in; a thank-you, the gathering afterwards and any donation request on the back. The guide walks through it, and the examples give five full running orders to start from.

How it runs
-
Send what you have
The name and dates, the running order from the celebrant or funeral director, the photographs, the thank-you for the back, how many, and the day of the service. A draft is fine; it can change at the proof.
-
A written price
GST and delivery included, the same business day, with the day it will arrive confirmed before anything is committed.
-
A proof, read slowly
A link that opens on your phone. Check the names, the spelling of relatives’ names and the dates; have someone who did not write it read it too. Nothing is printed until the family approves it, and you pay after the approval, not before.
-
Printed and delivered
To your address or to the funeral director, with the date it is needed by on the box.
