What moves the number
- Size. A name over a cot is not a quote across a feature wall. Measure the space you want it to fill.
- How much cutting. A few bold words are quick. Fine script and small detail take longer to cut and weed.
- Colours. One colour is one layer of vinyl. Each extra colour is another layer, lined up by hand.
- Cut or printed. Lettering and shapes are cut from solid-colour vinyl. A photo or a full-colour design is printed instead.

How much do personalised wall decals cost?
They are quoted per job, because the price follows the size, how much cutting the design needs and how many colours it has. Send the words, roughly how wide you want it and the colour, and you get a written price with GST included within 4 business hours.
Can you make a name wall decal for a kids' room?
Yes, it is one of the most popular jobs. Tell us the name, the width of the space above the bed or cot, the colour and any style you like. We set it out and send a proof at the real size so you can check the spelling and the size on the wall before it is cut.
Will it damage the wall when it comes off?
On a sound, fully dry painted wall, wall vinyl peels off slowly without taking the paint with it. Pull it back on itself, low and slow; a hair dryer softens stubborn pieces. Fresh paint is the exception: give a newly painted wall a few weeks to cure before applying anything, or the paint can lift with the decal.
Is it hard to put up myself?
No. The decal comes with a clear application layer over the top, so all the letters move as one piece. Mark a level line, peel the backing, press it onto the wall from the middle outwards, rub it down and peel the top layer away. Larger pieces are easier with two people.
Can I use my own design or font?
Yes. Send a font name, a picture of a style you like, or your own artwork. Very thin strokes and tiny details do not cut well, so if a design is too fine we will say so and suggest a version that will last.
Do you make wall decals for businesses?
Yes — logos and lettering for a reception wall, values or a mission on an office wall, menu boards and opening hours in a cafe. For glass use window decals, and for floors floor decals, which use a different, anti-slip film.

Bold beats fine
Thick letters stick well and last. Hairline script lifts at the edges first and is fiddly to apply.
Smooth walls work best
Vinyl grips smooth, painted walls. Heavy texture, brick and rough render need a different approach, so tell us what the wall is.
Let new paint cure
Wait a few weeks after painting. Applying too soon is the main reason a decal takes paint with it later.
