A table throw turns a borrowed trestle into a branded surface, which at most trade stands is the largest piece of artwork you own. It is printed full colour edge to edge on 250gsm polyester — heavy enough to hang straight instead of sagging — so a logo, a photograph or a gradient runs across the whole front with no seam through it. Three trestle sizes, loose or fitted, wrapped on all four sides or open at the back, from $197 including GST and delivery. Design setup is included and you see a proof before anything is printed.
Common questions
How much does a custom table throw cost?
The cheapest is a 4 foot loose throw with an open back, at $197 including GST and delivery. Wrapped on all four sides, that same 4 foot loose is $208, and a 4 foot fitted is $216.25. A 6 foot loose is $235.50, an 8 foot loose $263. Fitted costs a little more at every size because it is sewn to shape rather than cut to drape. Delivery and design setup are both already in those figures — there is no freight line at the cart.
Is there a discount for more than one?
Not a per-item discount, but the delivery is charged once for the order rather than once per throw, so the cost per throw falls as you add them — two 6 foot loose throws are $223.62 rather than twice $235.50. From five throws the page stops pricing and the desk quotes it against the supplier's volume grid, which on an order that size is worth more to you than another rung on this table would be. Ask for a quote and you will have the figure in writing, usually the same business day.
What is the difference between loose and fitted?
The cut, not the print. A loose throw is cut generously and drapes over the table in soft folds — fast on and off, forgiving about the exact table, and the cheaper of the two. A fitted throw is sewn to the table's shape, so the front is a flat taut panel and the corners are square. If the artwork is photographic, or a logo runs across the centre of the front, fitted is what keeps it flat and readable. If the stand is packed down nightly and the table is whatever the venue supplies, loose is the practical choice.
What fabric is it printed on?
A 250gsm polyester — heavy enough to hang straight rather than sag or ripple, and to sit flat over a trestle edge. It is printed full colour across the whole surface by dye sublimation, which puts the ink into the fibre instead of onto it, so the print does not crack or peel and survives a wash.
Is a table throw the same as a printed tablecloth?
Yes — a table throw is a custom printed tablecloth, also sold as a branded table cover. These are 250gsm polyester, machine washable, printed full colour edge to edge, and made for 4ft, 6ft and 8ft trestle tables, loose or fitted.
Can any colour or design be printed?
Yes. Full colour across the whole surface means a photograph, a gradient, a full-bleed brand colour or a logo the width of the table are all the same job to the press. Artwork runs edge to edge with no seam through it.
Does it come in three-sided, with an open back?
Yes, and it is priced on this page like any other option. An open-back cover leaves the rear panel off for a table pushed against a wall or a backdrop, and the back edge is finished with a lip that hooks over the rear corners so the cover grips the table rather than sliding. It is cheaper at every size because it is less fabric: a 4 foot loose is $197 open-back against $208 wrapped, and an 8 foot fitted is $257.50 against $272.62. Choose four sides if the table is ever seen from behind — an island stand, a table in the middle of a room — because an open back on a free-standing table shows the trestle legs.
How do I get the creases out?
A fabric steamer, which is the fastest and the safest. A warm iron works too, but only through a pressing cloth — a hot iron directly on the fabric can mark the print. Most creases from folding drop out on their own within an hour of the throw being on the table.
Are custom sizes available?
Not on this page. Table throws are made to the three standard trestle sizes — 4, 6 and 8 foot — because that is what the tables come in. A table that is genuinely not one of those is a quote, and worth asking about rather than ordering the nearest size and hoping.
Is the trestle table included?
No. The throw is the printed cover only. Standard 4, 6 and 8 foot trestles are stocked by hardware and office suppliers, and most venues and exhibition halls hire them, which is the usual way round: hire the table, own the throw.
Can I have more than one design in the order?
Yes. The price on this page covers setup for one design. A second distinct design in the same order carries a small extra setup charge, and the desk will tell you what it is before anything starts — say so on the quote form. The order still counts as one order for delivery.
How long does a table throw take?
2-4 working days from payment, delivered. That runs from approval and payment rather than from when you ask, so a quick sign-off is the fastest way to a fast throw. If a date is genuinely fixed — a show, an expo, an opening — say so when you ask and we will tell you honestly whether it can be met.
What artwork do you need?
A logo in vector form is ideal — PDF, AI, EPS or SVG — plus any wording and your brand colours. Photographs need to be genuinely large: a throw front is over a metre wide, and an image that looks sharp on a website will not. Send what you have and we will tell you straight whether it will hold up at size. Setting your existing branding into the panel is included.
What happens if it arrives wrong?
Tell the desk as soon as it lands, with a photo of what you received. If the fault is in the making it is remade under the reprints policy; if it is in the artwork we say so straight rather than reprinting the same mistake. When your print arrives wrong walks through what to photograph and what to expect.
Every figure on this page is the complete delivered price, Australia-wide, with delivery and design setup already in it and no freight line at the cart. One to 4 throws can be ordered here. Five or more is a quote rather than an order — the supplier prices volume off its own grid and the desk would rather read you the real figure than run this table out past what it can state.

What a table throw costs
Including GST, delivery and design setup
| Trestle | Sides | Loose | Fitted |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 foot | Four sides | $208 | $216.25 |
| 4 foot | Open back | $197 | $201.12 |
| 6 foot | Four sides | $235.50 | $242.37 |
| 6 foot | Open back | $228.62 | $234.12 |
| 8 foot | Four sides | $263 | $272.62 |
| 8 foot | Open back | $246.50 | $257.50 |
Delivery is already in every figure here — there is no freight line at the cart and nothing added after. Because the delivery is charged once per order rather than per throw, the cost per throw falls slightly as you add them: two 6 foot loose throws are $223.62 rather than twice $235.50. Need five or more? Ask for a quote — past four the desk prices it against the supplier's volume grid rather than this table.
Loose or fitted
The same print, a different cut
A loose throw drapes. It is cut generously, falls in soft folds at the corners and goes on and off a trestle in seconds, which is what you want when the stand is packed down every night and the table is whatever the venue supplies. It is also the cheaper cut — on a 4 foot it is $208 against $216.25 fitted.
A fitted throw is sewn to the table's shape, so the corners are square and the front is a flat, taut panel with no folds running through the artwork. On a photographic design or a logo that crosses the centre, that difference is the whole difference. It is the cut to choose when the stand is photographed, or when the table is the backdrop rather than a surface to put things on.
Both cuts come wrapped on all four sides or open at the back. Open back leaves the rear panel off for a table pushed against a wall or a backdrop, and costs less because it is less fabric — a 6 foot loose is $228.62 open-back against $235.50 wrapped, and the gap widens on an 8 foot. The back edge is finished with a lip that hooks over the rear corners, so the cover grips the table instead of sliding.
Design setup is included
Your branding, set to the panel
Taking the logo, colours and wording you already have and setting them into the throw's panel is part of the price. That includes scaling artwork to the front face, placing it so the fold at the table edge does not cut through a word, and telling you when a logo pulled off a website will not hold up at 1.8 metres wide. The same goes for a design made in Design it online above: you draw the front panel, and the desk carries its colour over the top and the other sides.
What is quoted separately is design from nothing — a stand that needs a look rather than a layout. Say so on the quote form and the desk prices it before anything starts.
You will see a proof before it prints
Nothing runs unapproved
A proof goes to you with the artwork placed on the throw's panel at size, and nothing is printed until you approve it. The turnaround on this page — 2-4 working days — runs from that approval and your payment, not from when you first ask, so a quick sign-off is the fastest route to a throw on a table.
The proof page carries a private tracker link, which moves through printing, dispatched and delivered on its own. You do not have to email us to find out where it is. How it works sets out the whole sequence.
