What moves the number

  • Where it goes. Two doors and a tailgate is the usual set. A canopy, a toolbox or the rear window each adds a piece.
  • Cut lettering or printed. Cut lettering is one colour of vinyl with no background, so the paint shows through. Printed decals carry any colour, photos and gradients, laminated and cut to shape.
  • Size. Lettering that reads from the car behind is bigger than most people expect. We suggest sizes from photos of your vehicle.
  • How many vehicles. A fleet set costs less per vehicle than a single one.
  • Colours. Each colour of cut lettering is its own layer of vinyl, applied in turn.

Car and ute decals put your business name, phone number and website on the vehicle that is already parked outside every job. Two kinds: cut vinyl lettering, single-colour letters with no background so the paint shows through, the clean signwritten look on a white ute; and printed decals, full colour with a UV laminate, cut around your logo, for anything with more than one colour in it.

Each set is made to your own vehicle. Send photos and the make, model and year, and we size the artwork to the panels, around the handles and the door seams, and show you a proof before anything is cut. It arrives flat on its backing, ready to put on yourself; cut lettering comes with application tape over it, so every letter goes on in one piece. Want it fitted? In NSW and QLD our vehicle signage installers do it.

Where decals go on a ute

The body is yours to use

Doors

Business name and what you do, read side-on in a car park or at the lights.

Tailgate

The phone number, big. The driver behind you has time to read it; nobody else does.

Canopy and toolbox

The largest flat panels on a work ute, and the ones that sit at eye height.

Glass and plates are different. Keep decals off the front side windows and below the windscreen band, and never cover the number plate. The rear window depends on your mirrors and your state — the rules, explained.

Design it for the car behind you

Three things, maximum

A ute is read for a couple of seconds, by someone whose real job right now is driving. Who you are, what you do, how to reach you — the name largest, the phone number biggest on the back. Everything else is decoration at 60km/h.

Send what you have — a logo, a business card, a photo of the old signwriting — and we set it to your panels. Artwork setup is free with the order.
