Test it with your own phone before you order. Printed on the same 5-year vinyl as our plain stickers, at the same price, from $32.10 for ten including GST. Want your logo set into the middle? That is the branded code, $39 once per order however many you buy.

Common questions
How much do QR code stickers cost?
10 50 × 50mm stickers cost $32.10 including GST, and the unit price roughly halves by forty — the quantity where a café can put one on every table. It is the same vinyl at the same price as our plain stickers; the code costs nothing, because generating it costs us nothing. A branded code with your logo adds $39 once per order.
Can I change where the code points after it is printed?
No, and we would rather say so plainly than sell you something that can. A code whose destination can be changed later is a redirect somebody has to keep alive for years; the day it lapses, every sticker ever printed with it goes blank. Ours point straight at your address, which means they work for as long as that address does — and nothing of ours has to survive for that to be true.
Will a coloured code still scan?
Yes, if it is dark enough, and the page will not let you choose one that is not. Dark on light only: we do not offer an inverted code or a coloured background, because scanners vary on the first and the second is where scans die. The quiet border stays white, four modules wide, always.
Do I need to upload artwork?
No. Type the destination and the code is generated from it — the checkout will not ask you for a file. The one exception is a branded code's logo: choose it here to see the room it takes, and the checkout asks you to attach that file so we can place it at print size.
What kind of logo file works best?
Vector — SVG, AI, EPS or PDF — because it stays sharp at any size and the plate in the middle of a code is small. A large PNG is fine. If yours is small or busy the page says so rather than refusing, and the desk will usually make it work; if it cannot, we can redraw it.
Can I use the same code on my website too?
Ask the desk when you order and we will send you a plain PNG of the same code for screen use — a website, an email footer, a menu you are printing yourself. What stays with the print order is the vector file and the branded version, because the artwork we set is the part you are paying for.
How long do they take?
2-4 working days from payment, delivered. Need it sooner? Ask — a tighter date is quoted per job — talk to us or put the date on the order request. There is no file to check first, so the proof usually goes out the same business day the order lands.
What happens if the code does not scan?
Tell the desk with a photo. If it does not read at the size and distance the page said it would, that is ours — it is remade under the reprints policy. That is a promise we can make because the page refuses the combinations that would break it rather than warning you about them.
Can I have the code on a card or a poster instead?
Yes. The free QR-code sign maker lays the same kind of code out as an A6 counter card, an A5 table card or an A4 poster, with your headline under it, to print at home or save as a PDF.
How big should the sticker be?
Where it lives decides
A code is read by resolving its smallest square, so the two things that decide whether it scans are how far away the reader stands and how much you asked the code to carry. A short web address makes a coarse code that reads from across a room; a long one with tracking parameters on the end makes a dense code that struggles on a table.
| Where it lives | Read from | Sticker size |
|---|---|---|
| Handed over, on a receipt or a product | arm's length | 50 × 50mm |
| On a table or a counter | 30–50cm | 65 × 65mm or 85 × 85mm |
| On a door or a window | 1 metre | 80 × 110mm and up |
| On a fence or a hoarding | 2 metres | Not a sticker — a corflute sign |
Nothing under 50mm, and three shapes. Square, circle and rectangle are the cuts a code suits — a code is square, so a long bumper strip prints it at the strip's height and wastes the rest. And we do not sell a QR sticker below 50mm. A 40mm one is arithmetically possible with a short address, but it leaves nothing in reserve for vinyl, weather and an older phone, and a code that only works in good light is not a product.
You do not have to work it out. Choose a size and a destination and the configurator does the arithmetic: if the code would print too small to read reliably it says so, with the millimetres, and tells you whether to shorten the address or go up a size. A branded code is held to a stricter figure than a plain one, because the styling and the logo both spend from the same redundancy. The full arithmetic is here.
Plain and branded
What the branded option adds
A plain code is square modules in black, or in any colour dark enough to scan. The colour costs nothing extra — it is the same ink on the same press, and we will not charge you for choosing it. What we do is check it: anything under 7:1 against white is refused at the field with the measured figure and the nearest darker shade of your own colour offered as a fix. That is a stricter line than text has to clear, because a phone camera has less to work with than an eye and a mid-tone brand colour prints lighter on vinyl than it looks on a backlit screen.
A branded code is the one with your logo in the middle, the modules drawn as rounded squares or dots, and the three corner squares softened and set in a second colour if you want one. It is $39 once per order, not per sticker — it is setup work, and the second sticker costs us no more than the first.
A branded code wants a short destination — around 58 characters. That is not a limitation of ours: some codes carry a pattern in the exact middle that a scanner uses to read them on an angle or a curve, and we will not print a logo over it. If your address is longer, a short link fixes it, and the page tells you so at the field rather than after you have paid.
A logo in a QR code is not an image pasted on top. It covers modules, and covered modules have to be recovered by the error correction, which has a fixed budget. So the middle is cleared to a plate whose size is worked out from that budget: we count the codewords the plate would cover and keep them well under what level H can rebuild, and the plate never touches the three corner squares, the alignment patterns or the timing line, whatever the budget says. If your logo will not fit inside that, the page says so rather than printing a code that scans on the desk and fails on a wet Tuesday.
The corner squares can be softened but not reinvented. A scanner finds a code at all by looking for the run of dark and light across those corners in a fixed 1:1:3:1:1 proportion. Rounding the corners keeps every module where a scanner looks for it. Circles do not — we drew them, tested them and dropped them, because a circle inscribed in the corner square misses the square's own corners. Novelty shapes are not on the menu for the same reason.
You will see a proof before it prints
And we scan it too
Test the preview with your own phone now — before you pay, not after. That is the check that matters, and it is the one most people never get to make. Once the order is in we set the print file from the same destination and send a proof link. We scan that proof ourselves before it goes to press, twice on a branded code, because a box of stickers nobody scanned is a box of stickers.
If it comes back wrong against an approved proof, that is on us. If the destination you typed was wrong and you approved it on the proof, it is not — which is why the two minutes are worth it.
