ACM and aluminium signs

They are quoted per job rather than from a price list, because the size, the number of panels, the shape and the mounting each move the price. Send the size and where it goes, and you get a written price, GST included, within four business hours. Nothing is charged until you have approved a proof.

ACM stands for aluminium composite material: two thin aluminium skins bonded either side of a polyethylene core. The skins make it rigid and weatherproof, and the core keeps it light, at about 4.3 kg per square metre in 3mm. It is also sold as aluminium composite panel, ACP or by brand names.

They are what most people mean by an aluminium or metal sign: a flat, rigid panel with an aluminium face. ACM is not solid aluminium sheet. If you need solid aluminium, an engraved plate or another metal, say so in your quote request and the desk will tell you what is possible.

The board is warranted for ten years outdoors and the printed graphic is rated for up to five, so a plain or painted panel outlasts its print. A printed ACM sign is a five-year sign, and after that the board can be re-skinned or replaced. Corflute, by comparison, lasts six to eighteen months; see corflute or ACM.

No. This is a signage-grade board, not rated for construction, cladding or facades, and we will not supply it for that use. It is for signs mounted on or beside a building, such as a fascia panel, a directory or a name plate.

3mm. That is the board we print, and it suits fascia panels, name plates, directional signs, panels and A-frame inserts. If you need a thicker or heavier board, ask in your quote request.

Yes. The board is routed to size or to a simple shape, and holes can be drilled for fixing. Tell us how it will be mounted: on posts, on a wall, in a frame or on a strut.

Yes. They are printed and cut at the nearest of our presses in NSW, QLD and VIC and couriered to you, with delivery included in the quote.

It depends on the sign, not the material: its size, position, whether it is lit and your zone. We cannot confirm it for your address, and neither can this page. See the approval guides for NSW and Queensland, and ask your council.

Tell the desk as soon as it lands, with a photo of what you received. If the fault is in the making, it is remade under the reprint terms, and you do not pay twice.
