Common booklet questions
How much does booklet printing cost?
25 A5 booklets of 12 pages start at $170, and 100 cost $234, including GST and delivery Australia-wide. The full grid by size, pages and quantity is above. More than 250, or another page count, is quoted.
Why do the pages go up in fours?
A stapled booklet is sheets folded in half, and every folded sheet makes four pages. So a booklet is always 8, 12, 16, 20 pages and so on. Blank pages at the back make up the count if your content falls short.
Does the page count include the cover?
Yes. A 12-page booklet is the four-page cover plus eight pages inside.
What if I need more than 36 pages?
A stapled booklet stops closing flat after about 40 pages. For more, book printing glues the pages into a square spine, from 64 pages.
How should I send the file?
One PDF with every page as a single page, in reading order, with 3mm of bleed. Do not arrange the pages in printer spreads — we impose them so the right pages land back to back.
How long do booklets take?
Allow 3-5 working days once you approve the proof, plus delivery Australia-wide; your proof page carries a tracker link with the due date on it. Need it by a particular day? Put the date on the order request and we will tell you straight whether it can be done.

Once your file is in, we check the page order and the bleed, then send a link that opens on your phone. Page through it, drop a pin where something is wrong, and send it back. Nothing is printed until you approve it.
If it comes back wrong against an approved proof, that is on us. If it matches the proof you approved, it is not — which is why the proof is worth a careful read.
